Duane Bates
Dr. Bates earned his Ph.D. in physics at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, where he was involved in research at ultra-low temperatures down to less than one-thousandth of one degree above absolute zero.
His career includes work at the highest energy particle accelerator in the world, at the time, Fermi Lab, near Chicago, Illinois, as well as nearly 25 years developing spacecraft and space payloads. Dr. Bates was the program manager for the main payload on the Mars Rovers, Spirit and Opportunity. He also held a key role on the James Webb Space Telescope - NASA's next-generation successor to the Hubble Space Telescope, which will offer unprecedented resolution and sensitivity over a wide range of frequency, extending into the mid-infrared region, allowing us to see otherwise dark objects in the cosmos.
Dr. Bates cofounded Cornerstone Christian School where he was also headmaster for 8 years. He has had a productive ministry in Christian healing, deliverance, and deep inner healing, including street ministry, for twelve years.
This is his ninth year in China, where he devotes himself to his full-time author career as well as to charitable work.
